Hope you’re hungry because according to The Barrie Examiner, Smoke’s Poutinerie in Barrie is hosting an eating competition! It doesn’t matter if you’re an amateur eater, professional or in between anyone can be apart of this event.
If you think you can handle a lot of fries, gravy and cheese curds then head over to Smoke’s Poutinerie, 24 Dunlop St at 3pm this Saturday. If you do well, you can hopefully qualify for regionals and be apart of the World Poutine Eating Championship on Oct. 1 at Yonge-Dundas Square, in Toronto.
Last year, the winner, Matt “Megatoad” Stonie ate 22 pounds of poutine in 10 minutes. Think you can do better than the champ? Make sure you register for the competition in Barrie which you can do up until the start of the event.
