This seemed appropriate for the first day of school! A new study from Media Smarts says over 25% of students in Grade 4 have their own cell phone. That number balloons to over 85% by Grade 11. Lot of parents are just saying no to cell phones; kids need to be kids. Some parents don’t like the idea of their kids having cell phones because it’s too easy for predators to prey on young kids. Experts say that cell phone can exacerbate problems like bullying and embarrassment. Some parents feel better knowing they can always get a hold of their kids. What do you think?
