Jann Arden seems to be (kinda ironic) insensitive. Jann has had to say she’s sorry to fans and Native Canadians across the country. This, after sharing a post to her social media that offended many viewers.
The Canadian singer-songwriter shared a photo to social media last week of her mother and dog bundled up, which she captioned “My Eskimo family.”
Our politically correct society was quick to be offended. They made sure Jann knew (via social channels) how offensive and outdated the term “Eskimo” was to Aboriginal people.
At first, Arden seemed to think political correctness was getting out of hand, and showed no remorse-but as the social media attack grew against her, she recounted and apologized. What do you think? Are we just too touchy these days? Do you consider what Jann said to be offensive? (Deb)
