The Rolling Stones have hinted and not in a subtle way – they are about to release their first album in more than a decade, apparently a collection of covers of Chicago blues classics. A tweet appeared yesterday “Coming October 6” along with a snippet of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and the rest of the band jamming out a hard blues song with harmonica.
Ben Stiller says he owes his life to a test to detect prostate cancer. And because of that, he’s is in favour of men getting P-S-A tests as early as possible. Stiller says he was diagnosed two years ago, after taking a P-S-A test when he was 46. He’s has surgery and been treated and is good to go.
It’s called a “working title” and there are some Batman fans that say this title can use a little more work. Ben Affleck says the upcoming Batman film he’s directing and starring in will be called simply, “The Batman.” He says he’s open to the idea of changing the title _ but for now, he says, “that’s what we’re going with.”
“Dancing With the Stars” pro Sasha Farber had a surprise for fellow pro Emma Slater. It was a ring and a proposal. During last night’s live show, Farber dropped to one knee and popped the question. But it wasn’t a surprise to host Tom Bergeron and the crew…they knew. It was a tough night for the recording artists on “Dancing With the Stars .” Both Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Vanilla Ice were axed in a double elimination.
IMAX and Warner Bros. are teaming up to bring the beloved Harry Potter films back to theatres. In anticipation of the Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them — set for release on Nov. 18 — the eight original Harry Potter movies will be screening across Canada. Tickets go on sale Fri., Oct. 7 for the screenings, which start on Oct. 13 and run for one week. All the movies will be presented in IMAX. In Ontario the closest theatre is in Toronto.
