People can tell I’m Canadian…just by hearing me talk.
I’ve always found this puzzling, since they claim I have an accent, and I’m like “but we talk pretty much the exact same, I thought I sounded just like you.”
So after doing some digging, I’ve learned that it’s not just “color vs colour” or “Zee vs Zed” but it even comes with how we say things like “sorry” and “bag,” as detailed by these lovely ladies below.
However, if we’re talking about a Newfoundland accent, it gets all sorts of… different.
