One hundred and twenty pharmacies in the region are providing the vaccine for anyone aged 5 and up. Those under 5 years of age can get their flu shot from their primary care providers and walk-in clinics.
Those with children under the age of 5 who do not have a health care provider, and those who do not have an Ontario health card number can make an appointment with the health unit by calling 705-721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520.
With the flu shot now being so accessible through local pharmacies and health care providers, the health unit will no longer be providing flu clinics at their offices.
For more information about the flu and flu vaccine, visit the health unit’s website at www.simcoemuskokahealth.org, or call Health Connection at 705-721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520 weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
