Honest Ed’s. A cornerstone of my childhood. You could spend hours there.
It had bargains EVERYWHERE! There were seemingly endless floors and levels and aisles…it was easy to get lost. So that’s why you held on to your Grandmother’s hand 🙂
The family that owned it – Mirvish – Toronto royalty. Ed himself was very community minded and always mindful of who is customers were and taking good care of them.
All good things eventually come to an end and the end is in sight for the corner of Bloor and Bathurst. If you like the photograph you can order it – I did. – SusanM
