Tom Hanks, Robert DeNiro, Cicely Tyson, Robert Redford, Lorne Michaels, Diana Ross and Bruce Springsteen basketball icons Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Ellen DeGeneres cried and it seemed as though Barack Obama fought tears when she got hers…by the way yesterday before the ceremony DeGeneres, sitting on a park bench before the ceremony, tweeted, “They haven’t let me in to the White House yet because I forgot my ID.” She added, “#NotJoking.”

Dancing with the Stars is a done deal for now…Olympian Laurie Hernandez now has a mirrorball trophy to go along with her Olympic gold. It wasn’t much of a surprise. She’s been a favourite of the judges and the viewers all season long. Race driver (and Canadian) James Hinchliffe was the runner-up and has no hard feelings. Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson Jr was third. A-B-C’s dance competition starts again in March.
James Corden will host the Grammy’s. Watch for a “Carpool Karaoke” routine to be worked into the upcoming broadcast! The show is February 12th. It’s his first go-round for the Grammys for Corden; he hosted the Tony Awards last June. He replaces L-L Cool J, who has hosted the show for the past five years.
Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg will be back for more cooking and eating. V-H-1 has announced it will renew “Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party” for a second season. Among the guests on the first season are Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, 50 Cent, Jason Derulo, Robin Thicke
The FBI says it will not file charges against Brad Pitt stemming from an alleged dispute with his family aboard a private flight. The FBI released a statement Tuesday saying it has reviewed the circumstances of the accusations and will not pursue further investigation. Angelina Jolie Pitt filed for divorce a few days later. Her attorney said it was “for the health of the family.”
