Change is on the horizon for one downtown event’s venue.
The Mady Centre for the Performing Arts will soon be known as…we don’t know yet. Neither does the city of Barrie.
Originally on a 22 year deal for the naming rights for the performing arts centre, Charles Mady will forfeit the naming rights on Dec 31st after defaulting last year.
Barrie City Council will explore a pilot program for corporate naming rights for the centre, council has already sent a request for information, trying to find any parties interested in putting their name on the centre in the coming new year.
