God I hope the rumors are true.
For the longest time, Barrie’s GO Train service has been….well….there….sometimes. At the moment the only GO Trains you can catch come in the early morning hours.
The rest of the day? You’re S.O.L. If you’re heading to Newmarket or Toronto, you have to take a GO Bus, which can be a bit of a haul…especially if you’re heading to Toronto.
Well, this Monday Ontario Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca and Bruce McCuaig, president and CEO of Metrolinx, will be in town for the announcement at Barrie South GO.
It’s expected an increase in train service for the Barrie Area will be the topic of discussion.
If it’s confirmed, this could mean a variety of things in the future, such as 7-day-a-week GO Train Service.
