Greg Lake who fronted King Crimson plus Emerson, Lake & Palmer has died at 69 years of age. The rock veteran was known as a fore-father of progressive rock and best known for songs like ‘Court of the Crimson King’.
His manager said that he passed after a “long and stubborn battle with cancer” while other prog-rock musicians of his era also weighed in on twitter to express their regret.

The loss comes a year after his bandmate Keith Emerson committed suicide.
