This time of year truly does bring out the best in everyone.
A woman in Exeter, Ontario had her car broken into at Canadian Tire, stolen from her car were crafts, toys and coloring books meant for a toy drive at a local church.
Once word got to the Canadian Tire owner what had happened, he offered to match the value of whatever had been stolen from her vehicle. Huron County OPP also pitched in some money to help her for her cause.

“It just felt like the right thing to do. She was trying to do something great at this time of the year, and we didn’t want someone to take that away from her. We knew those toys were destined for the less fortunate and we wanted to make sure that still happened,” said Huron County OPP Provincial Constable Jason Richardson. “The unsuspecting victim was left nearly speechless,” officers said. “However, the smile on her face and the tears in her eyes said it all.”
The real-life Grinch in question has yet to be apprehended, but the story still has a happy ending.
