The Barrie Community Foundation, in partnership with the Canadian Community Foundation, has issued grants in the amount of $15,000 to three well deserving charitable organizations.
The program, which is an initiative of Canadian Community Foundation Canada’s 150th, matches grant dollars from Foundations like the Barrie Community Foundation.
Recipients included; MacLaren Art Centre, which received $6,000, Environmental Action Barrie Living Green (FruitShare), which received $5,000 and Veteran Voice’s Canada Association, which received $4,000.
“We are very pleased to be able to help these organizations with their goals and objectives. Community Foundations are an important part of any community and we strive to help charitable organizations by utilizing programs like this and by setting up Endowment Funds and Flow Through Funds”, said Doug Shaw, Chairman of the Barrie Community Foundation.
