Jake Roberts, in my opinion, is one of the most well spoken professional wrestlers to ever live.
This Thursday, he’ll be at The Ranch in downtown Barrie for The Unspoken Word tour, where he’ll share stories of his experiences on the road as a wrestler in the 80s and 90s. Of course, some of Jake’s stories are pretty dark, as he’s had a lifelong battle with alcoholism and substance abuse.
The beauty of Jake Roberts is that when he spoke, he commanded your attention by rarely raising his voice. A great example is this interview with Mean Gene Okerlund, before his match with “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase at Wrestlemania VI in Toronto.
Jake Roberts’ Unspoken Word tour comes to The Ranch on March 2nd.
