I did something I had never, ever done before. I touched somebody’s cart.
I touched it and I moved it. I KNOW-TOTALLY NOT COOL!
Here’s what happened. I had finished up my shopping and I was waiting in line. I noticed a very full shopping
cart in front of me…but no person with it.
So I waited patiently,
I can say that I waited for a good 5 or 6 minutes (in grocery waiting times-that is an eternity); constantly looking around trying to see a hurried shopper making her/his way back to the lonely shopping cart. I finally looked at the cashier and she motioned my forward. I gave one more look around trying to see if the shopper was coming back and I saw nothing.
So, I took the cart, pulled it back out of line and pushed my cart in. I had half of my cart unloaded when she finally got back to her cart.
Getting groceries has never been so stressful!
What do you think? Should I have been a good Canadian and just stood there, politely, till the MIA shopper came back to her cart?
