What was the name of that book? Everything I learned, I learned in Kindergarten?
A former teacher from St. John’s NF is starting out in a new direction with that premise.
Joan Dohey (now a life coach) is offering Kindergarten for Adults!
She told CBC Radio’s Morning Show that “the whole idea with kindergarten for adults is that we all get way too serious, and we’re in what’s called task-positive mode most of the time,” We become too focused on tasks, details and just being too serious as adults. Sometimes we just need to play and have fun. When we do engage in play activities, we become far more creative and productive.
There is a benefit to your health as well! The program appeals to a person’s inner child, but Dohey said incorporating aspects of play and laughter into your life can be good for your health, by lowering blood pressure.
Sounds like we all need to play a bit more for a happy life!
