Ross Fadden of Victoria Harbour is celebrating after winning $309,905.90 with LOTTO MAX (March 10, 2017 draw). Ross matched six out of the seven numbers plus the bonus number on his ticket to win the secondary prize.
“I usually check my ticket at the store a few days after the draw,” shared Ross while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where he picked up his winnings. “On the day I found out about my win I scanned my ticket at the ticket checker and won a Free Play. Then I noticed there were some numbers on the screen as well. I wasn’t sure if it was $309 or $3,000.”
Ross scanned the ticket again. “That’s when I realized I won $309,905! The retailer knows me well and went to get my wife who was shopping in the grocery isle. Everyone congratulated us and OLG called the store to confirm my Big Win.”
Plans are underway for Ross’ windfall. “I will be paying off our mortgage and we will celebrate with our wonderful son. Then we plan to travel to the Maritimes. I have never been east of Montreal so this will be a treat. A driving trip for me and my wife to play a little golf and see the sites,” concluded Ross.
Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $3.7 billion in prizes, including 49 jackpot wins and 387 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets from all across the province.
The winning ticket was purchased at Foodland on Balm Beach Road in Midland.
