The mayor of Bradford is asking that very question.
During yesterday’s meeting with council, Mayor Rob Keffer only asked the question, which has yet to be formally proposed. It was met with support from Bradford’s Deputy Mayor James Leduc, who joins Keffer as representatives of Bradford-West Gwillimbury at Simcoe County council meetings.
According to Keffer, it’s not gonna be an easy process should they decide to move forward with it:

Recently, Bradford was named the 2nd fastest growing municipality in Ontario.
