Penetanguishene town council has voted to go ahead with proposed legislation that would attract pot production business within the town’s industrial areas.
However, this isn’t a free-for-all of pot growing they’re proposing. The production of cannibis would only be permitted by “agribusinesses” with a proper license. The bylaw also permits “agribusinesses” of other cash crops, such as fruits, vegetables and plants within the town of Penetanguishene.
Without something in place, they will look elsewhere,” she said. “This is a very high priority for council. I’m very anxious to have it approved.” – Cllr Debbie Levy via The Midland Mirror
Council will resume their look at this on April 26th.
