Premier Kathleen Wynne says she’ll be announcing a minimum wage increase today, as well as some changes to the province’s labour laws. Wynne says Ontario’s economy is doing well but there are parts of the province and groups within it that are not feeling the benefits. The minimum wage is currently 11 dollars and 40 cents an hour. Wynne would not confirm if her government plans to raise it to 15 dollars, as some labour groups have asked. We could also see vacation time raised to 3 weeks.
