“The story of Nick, and his burial in backpacks”
I can’t really understand how I came across this account or why I ended up following it.
An account created by a student or students in Barrie North Collegiate’s first period drama class gives you exactly what it advertises: some kid named Nick being buried in backpacks.
Nick’s participation in the process seems voluntary, in fact he seems to be enjoying himself as much as his classmates are. He lies as perfectly still as a resting boulder while his classmates cover him head-to-toe in bookbags.
But it’s not just all Nick and backpacks, no no no! Nick is more than just a one trick pony. Nick would show off other artistic displays, such as:
Being buried in chairies.
Being buried by people.
And of course my favorite, other people being backpacks themselves.
Being a former drama kid myself, it’s what you’d expect from a bunch of teenagers left to their own creativity. But man, I give the social media account credit for it’s unique concept and keeping me involved in a story. A lot of TV shows barely do that for me these days.
Sadly, with the end of the school year comes the end of Backpack Nick at Barrie North Collegiate. When I saw the post indicating the series finale, I did feel a bit bummed.
But I also doubt this will be the last we hear of Backpack Nick.
