Tesla CEO Elon Musk is moving his company into a more affordable price range with a new Model 3 electric car which goes on sale this Friday. The car will start around $35,000 which seats five and go 215 miles on a charge. With a single charge the car also boasts the ability to accelerate from zero-60 in under 6 seconds. Tesla’s other models retail for over $130,000.
In a tweet, CEO Musk says that they plan to make 5,000 model 3 sedans per week by the end of 2017, while producing 10,000 per week in 2018.
