The Holiday season is here and you or your neighbors may have already erected an artificial tree. Many people however are still opting for the real deal and to the tune of thousands upon thousands of tree sales coast-to-coast.
Square, a tech company that helps business with credit card payments, crunched the numbers on the best and worst days to buy a tree this year. The most popular day? the first Saturday in December (that will be Dec. 2nd this year) and that is probably the day you want to avoid given the crowds and shortage of crappy mini-saws that tree farms hand out. To avoid the crowds and have a selection of saws? mid-week. A Tuesday or Wednesday will likely take the stress out of tree shopping.
The closer you get to Christmas the crowds thin out and trees also start going for a reduced price because who wants a Christmas Tree on December 27th? unless of course you follow the Orthodox calendar, in which case Christmas won’t have happened yet.
